ANMUTUNGEN DER DRITTEN ATMUNG

INTIMATIONS OF THE THIRD BREATHING is a site-specific AR sound walk in public space around the Kunst Haus Wien and the Donaukanal. The project draws attention to micro-processual intelligences within the urban fabric: moisture, moss, drainage, insect flight, light reflection. It brings into perception atmospheric agencies that typically operate beneath the threshold of notice.

The project takes up a sensibility already inscribed in the architecture of the Kunst Haus Wien: a porous disposition toward the world, one that recognises nature as co-author of space, structure and meaning. Augmented reality functions here as sensory amplifier of a pre-existing, mostly unheard mesh.
