Game of Hearts

Game of Hearts is a video that circulates between being a walking simulator game and a music visualizer. The game follows two players trying to connect in the virtual world by collecting hearts to reach the next level. In a hallucinatory, dream-like environment, one can read a conversation that appears to be taking place between the two players, in which they admit their feelings for each other. Written entirely by an AI, it's meant to question the ambivalence between connection and isolation, and the need for a human counterpart. Getting lost in one's thoughts, getting lost in virtual space, and trying to find connection.
